Performances of the Indian athletes at the recent Asian Games (2018) impressed me so much that I was compelled to share this screenplay of a music video for Roxette’s song ‘Listen To Your Heart’.
I hope you like it.
I have also uploaded the song with screenplay suggestions toward the end.
Enjoy!

EXT. ATHLETICS STADIUM – DAY
ON THE RUNNERS
Eight runners come around the final bend. They run hard. And fast.
The lead athlete runs harder. She is all concentration. Her eyes set on her goal. Her eyes on the finish line.
She picks up speed as she nears the ribbon. She storms in and takes it.
She smiles and raises her hand. The spectators cheer her.
She runs ahead on the track, proud of herself.
CUT TO
ON AN INDIAN HIGH JUMPER
He starts the approach slowly. He gains speed. He makes a curve. Runs toward the pole at top speed.
He leaps up in the air. His body twists. His hands and head go up and over the pole. His body twists again. His torso is parallel to the pole.
The momentum takes his body down and his legs are thrown up. He clears the pole.
He falls on the mat and bounces and stands up in jubilation.
The crowd cheers. He acknowledges their love.
CUT TO
ON AN INDIAN LONG JUMPER
She starts sprinting, and gains speed. She runs harder. She nears the foul line. Stamps the line with her left foot and then flies in the air.
Bending backward, her legs flap in the air. Her arms swing as if swimming with the wind.
Her legs go down first, her arms are still swinging, trying to take her body as farther as possible.
Touch down. She lands on the sand.
CUT TO
ON AN INDIAN SHOT PUTTER
The putter brings the metal put to his neck and steadies it. He bends down a little.
Then turns and leaps backward at the same time. His torso comes out. His hand swings forward with the put and he releases it.
The put flies up in the air, travels some distance, and falls on the ground with a thud.
CUT TO
ON THE INDIAN WEIGHT LIFTER
The weight lifter walks toward the weight. Bends down and holds the center bar. She checks her grip. She checks her legs for firmness.
With a quick show of strength, she picks up the weight. Bending her back, her legs push her upper body and the weight upward.
She rests the weight on her shoulders. Concentrates. Readies herself for the tremendous effort.
Pools of sweat roll down her face. Her eyes are full of concentration.
With all her physical and mental strength, she raises the weight and like a trophy holds it over her head.
She holds it for sometime for the judges to clear her lift.
Then she throws it down.
CUT TO
EXT. ON THE ROAD – EVENING
Large number of people start to run.
This marathon is for everybody, for every age group. Old and young, man and woman.
Hundreds are participating in this race.
Some run ahead. Some are left behind.
Some are running for the prizes, some are running because it’s a race.
A teenager runs enthusiastically.
A young female runs to prove a point.
A middle-aged man runs to show he’s fit.
An old couple runs to prove they are not old enough.
All the people run together.
One by one they complete the race.
They are happy.

Yup, editing text or video is a difficult job. But that’s the way it is. You got to leave out things to make the presentation/video better. Full video editing of the above would be quite interesting.
